How to clean wiper blades?

Carefully lift the wipers out of their glass into a position that facilitates the cleaning of the wiper blades. If you are unable to clean them, you can use a garden hose and a soft brush or cloth to rinse off dirt and grime and wash the windows. 

Dip a clean paper towel or towel in reaming alcohol and wipe the edges of the blades and apply them to paper towels. 

The rubber should be pliable and not cracked or brittle, and the edges should all be sharp and smooth, without punctures, chips, or cracks. When using the windshield wipers, do not scrape the ice off the windshield, as it can abrade the rubber and damage the edge.
